reasons to go

  • Catered to families: The Kids Only Club is perfect for kids aged 4-11, fitting right in with the natural surroundings. Think treehouses, a wooden playground, and cute cabins for all sorts of activities. They have creative sessions that focus on nature and staying active, making it a fun and engaging place for the little ones.

  • The service: Each guest is assigned two dedicated hosts accessible around the clock via WhatsApp, ready to assist with prompt room service, restaurant and spa reservations, or buggy pickups.

  • The location: When you think of the Athens Riviera, you might picture sparkling beaches and palm-lined streets. But Glyfada, with its shopping malls and random apartment blocks, is a bit different. The resort is across the busy six-lane Poseidonos Avenue from the neighborhood’s fancy boutiques and fast-food joints. For more shops and bars, check out Kyprou Street. The waterfront is charming with traditional fishing boats and leisure crafts in the marina, especially at night. For even more options, head downtown or south to Vouliagmeni Bay.

  • The vibe: Greece's newest ultra-luxury hotel chain is a big deal for the fancy comeback of the Athenian Riviera. With a modern-retro design, it nods to Glyfada Beach's 1960s glory days, way more stylish than the old folding chairs and boxy cabanas that used to be there. Inside its unique white fence, you'll find an exclusive spot for a chic and polished crowd, all taken care of by a top-notch staff dedicated to making sure guests are completely relaxed.

the nitty gritty

  • Accomodation: The main building has spacious residences and beachfront villas, but most guests will stay in one of the 95 bungalows scattered around the property. Some bungalows have seaside views, while others are surrounded by rosemary, bougainvillea, and olive trees. Inside, you'll find comfy beds, big bathtubs, walk-in closets, wood paneling, and floor-to-ceiling windows. The outdoor areas are amazing, with private pools, loungers, outdoor showers, and fireplaces. The rooms come with plush robes, Esophy chocolates, cocktail shakers with premium spirits, leather-bound manicure kits, and Montroi beauty products with scents like black tea and amber.

  • One&Only Aesthesis is tucked away on a private stretch of sandy beach and pine forests in Glyfada, a fancy coastal suburb that's the gateway to the Athenian Riviera.

  • Getting there:  It's just a 30-minute drive from Athens International Airport. The hotel offers luxury airport transfers starting at €125 one-way. They can handle all your transport needs, from airport pickups to sightseeing tours. If you'd rather drive yourself, there's free outdoor parking at the resort. Plus, they have a private dock if you're arriving by yacht.

  • What to pack: Pack a pair of classic Greek sandals—they’re great for going from the beach to the bar. Or save some space and make your own pair while you’re there. For dining at the hotel restaurant, dress like your favorite Sixties style icon.

  • Restaurants: At the hotel's restaurant, Ora, the famous chef Ettore Botrini mixes up traditional Greek dishes with flavors from his Italian family recipes. The highlight is the charcoal-grilled catch of the day, paired with tasty small plates like langoustine-filled dolmades and smashed fava from Syros. For a memorable evening in Athens, the hotel recommends Vezene, a bistro favored by local food enthusiasts. Known for its hearty meat dishes prepared in a wood-fired oven.

  • Spa: Picture this: they've got custom rituals that take cues from the local scene—like footbaths filled with flowers, massages with rose quartz, and scents that are all about the flowers. They do specialty stuff too, like facials with rare orchids and honey. And if you want something just for you, the therapist can whip up a personalized treatment. They even have things for the kids, plus a beauty salon and a fancy nail place by Bastien Gonzales.

  • Signature Activities: There's a wide range of activities designed specifically for kids, including spa treatments and stargazing nights with hot cocoa and toasted marshmallows. They can also participate in museum tours, various water sports, and yacht excursions.
